Inclusion. Vs. Exclusion.

Inclusion can mean the World to those previously excluded.

The little things add up.  Home Run  for the Home Team!

Are Changes Coming to Franklin’s School Lunch Program?

Just saw this article today while reading Franklin Matters, it is from the Milford Daily News:

Franklin may privatize school lunch management

http://www.milforddailynews.com/news/x737109404/Franklin-may-privatize-school-lunch-management#ixzz1MVWoImpl

Does your food-allergic child buy school lunch now?

Do you think privatization will affect your decision?

I know that some of the larger companies do provide sealed, labeled lunches for specific allergic populations, including gluten-free.

School Committee Meeting May 24 at 9 AM

Be heard. Be there.

Does our allergic community have any input on vendors? I truly hope so.

Let’s find out….

May contain Almond, Coconut

File this under:

Read Every Label, Every Time!

A Franklin FACT member just forwarded information regarding Silk brand soy milk, the Holiday Nog now carries the following allergen statement:

Contains Soy. May Contain Almond, Coconut.

Lovely.  Read those labels, even if you have purchased the product in the past.

Manufacturers do not by law have to add the “may contain” statement.  It is optional.

Stay safe this season.
